My friend kept hinting at something during lunch today, but I couldn’t figure out what she meant. I finally asked her, ‘What are you getting at?’ She laughed and said she wanted to plan a surprise trip together. I felt a little embarrassed for not catching on sooner. It turned out to be a really fun conversation after all.

오늘 점심에 친구가 계속 무언가를 암시하는 말을 했는데, 무슨 뜻인지 도통 모르겠었다. 결국 ‘도대체 하고 싶은 말이 뭐야?‘라고 물었더니 친구는 웃으며 함께 깜짝 여행을 계획하고 싶었다고 했다. 조금 늦게 눈치챈 게 살짝 민망했다. 결국엔 정말 즐거운 대화가 됐다.
