I met my friend Jiyeon for coffee this afternoon after months apart. It felt like no time had passed at all. She’s going through a big career change, and I’ve been stressed about my own goals lately. But talking with her always settles me down. I think it’s because we’re both grounded — we don’t dramatize things or blow them out of proportion. We talked for two hours and I walked home feeling lighter. I’m grateful to have someone like her in my life.
