Today was a pretty ordinary Tuesday until something unexpected happened. Out of the blue, my old friend from middle school sent me a message. We hadn’t talked in almost four years, so I was genuinely surprised. She said she just thought of me and wanted to catch up. We ended up chatting for over an hour about where life had taken us. It felt strange but warm at the same time. I guess some friendships don’t really fade — they just pause.
오늘은 꽤 평범한 화요일이었는데, 예상치 못한 일이 생겼다. 갑자기, 중학교 때 친했던 친구에게 연락이 왔다. 거의 4년 가까이 연락이 없었기 때문에 정말 놀랐다. 그냥 내 생각이 났다며 안부가 궁금했다고 했다. 우리는 결국 각자 어떻게 지냈는지 한 시간 넘게 이야기를 나눴다. 낯설면서도 따뜻한 기분이 들었다. 어떤 우정은 사라지는 게 아니라 그냥 잠시 멈추는 것 같다.
