I’ve been wondering why my coffee tasted a bit off this morning. I checked the bag and realized I’d been using decaf by mistake. That explains it — no wonder I felt so sluggish all day. I switched to the regular blend in the afternoon and finally felt like myself again. It’s funny how one small thing can throw off your whole day.

오늘 아침에 커피 맛이 왜 이상한지 계속 궁금했다. 봉지를 확인해 보니 실수로 디카페인을 쓰고 있었다. 그러니까 그랬구나 — 하루 종일 그렇게 무기력했던 게 당연하지. 오후에 일반 블렌드로 바꿨더니 드디어 제정신이 돌아온 느낌이었다. 작은 것 하나가 하루 전체를 망칠 수 있다는 게 웃기기도 하다.
