My manager called in sick today, so I had to take the reins of our team meeting. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I was ready for it. I took a deep breath and started by going over everyone’s tasks for the week. People actually listened and asked me good questions, which surprised me a little. By the end of the meeting, we had a clear plan and everyone knew what to do. I realized that sometimes you just have to step up before you feel fully ready.

오늘 매니저가 아파서 결근하는 바람에 내가 팀 회의를 직접 이끌어야 했다. 솔직히 내가 준비가 됐는지 확신이 없었다. 심호흡을 한 번 하고, 이번 주 각자의 업무를 점검하는 것부터 시작했다. 팀원들이 잘 들어주고 좋은 질문도 해줘서 약간 놀랐다. 회의가 끝날 무렵에는 명확한 계획이 세워졌고 모두가 자기 할 일을 알게 됐다. 완전히 준비되지 않아도 때로는 그냥 나서야 한다는 걸 깨달았다.
