일기 (Diary)

I had a really tough day at work today. I was struggling with a presentation that was due by end of day, and I honestly thought I wouldn’t make it. Then my coworker James went out of his way to help me with the project. He stayed an extra hour after his shift just to go over the slides with me. I didn’t even ask him — he just noticed I looked stressed and offered. It made me realize how lucky I am to work with good people. I want to return the favor someday.

오늘 회사에서 정말 힘든 하루를 보냈다. 퇴근 전까지 마감인 발표 자료를 준비하느라 고생했는데, 솔직히 제때 끝낼 수 있을지 자신이 없었다. 그때 동료 James가 일부러 시간을 내어 내 프로젝트를 도와줬다. 자기 근무 시간이 끝났는데도 한 시간이나 더 남아서 슬라이드를 함께 검토해 줬다. 내가 부탁한 것도 아닌데, 내가 스트레스받는 걸 눈치채고 스스로 나서 준 것이다. 좋은 사람들과 일하는 내가 얼마나 운이 좋은지 새삼 느꼈다. 언젠가 꼭 그 친절에 보답하고 싶다.
